How to Calculate Discounts
Calculating the sale price is simple. Follow this standard formula used by our calculator:
Final Price = Original Price - (Original Price × Discount / 100)
Example: 20% off $50
- Convert 20% to decimal: 0.20
- Multiply by price: 50 × 0.20 = $10 (Savings)
- Subtract savings: 50 - 10 = $40 (Final Price)
