USA / Canada
Standard is 15-20% for sit-down restaurants. For excellent service, 20-25% is common.
Europe
Often included as a "Service Charge". Rounding up the bill or leaving 5-10% is polite.
Asia
Tipping is generally not expected in countries like Japan or South Korea. In tourist areas, 10% is appreciated.
Australia / NZ
Tipping is not mandatory as staff earn higher wages. 10% for exceptional service is nice.
